Playing fetch...we all do it with our dogs and I am sure MOST dog owners are guilty of the infamous "fake throw" in which you throw and hide the ball quickly behind your back haha. I, have a different sense of humor, and find this entertaining to watch my dogs look frantically for a ball they never heard hit the ground. Then when they are distracted I like to place the ball on the floor. Do your dogs *still* fall for it? What other "cruel" tricks have you played on your dog? Be it personal entertainment, getting the dog to think a bit, see what their reaction was, or just dang it...you couldn't help yourself! Probably the MOST cruel thing I have done to my dog was recently, Gem is always upset when there is a dead coyote in the box of the truck. She runs around the truck hackles up and snarling. Finally I went out and dropped the tail gate so she could get a better look at it. She came up to sniff it and really started in. It was frozen in a position that its lips were curled back and teeth showing. I couldn't resist...I tossed it at her. OMGOSH, bad idea, fur was flying xD. I guess I did not anticipate that reaction from her lol. Jen and Hooch you guys are hilarious. I have never hidden on my dog. Reminds me of what I do to my kids in the middle of the mall when they stray from me xD. Bob...you will never know how much fun I am at a dinner party :p Has anyone thrown a blanket over their dogs and seen how long it took for the dog to get out? I've done that one.
